Diane M. McNamara, Town Clerk and Treasurer

As Town Clerk, Diane is the person in charge of the Town records. Land record searches, the filing of deeds, vital statistics and other documents to be recorded with the Town all fall within her purview. In addition to the "standard" clerk duties Diane also can help with Vermont hunting and fishing licenses and Vermont DMV vehicle renewals.

Brendan A. McNamara, Town Manager

The Town Manager is available at the Cavendish Town Office (802) 226-7291 and Fax (802) 226-7290. The manager's office hours are generally the same as the Town Clerk above.  Questions about town operations and departments, building and development, highways, municipal water and sewer utilities, personnel, purchasing or other subjects may be directed to the manager.
Bruce McEnaney, Assistant to the Town Manager
Bruce, aside from providing general assistance to the manager, is the Cavendish Cemetery Sexton and Transfer Station Coordinator. Bruce may be reached at (802) 226-7289 or the other listed town office numbers.

Notary Services

Notary services are generally available during hours that the Town Clerk's Office is open. Notaries on staff are: Diane McNamara, Ginny Garrow, and Jen Leak.

The phone number for the Cavendish Town Highway Garage is (802) 226-7294. If no one answers this phone, there is a message machine where you may leave a message for the highway crew as they are, most times, out of the garage servicing the town's roads.


The other members of the highway crew are Bill Bigwood, Kurt Rushton and Larry Kempf
